I like the 1 influence, and in either Anarch or Shaper this is a "maybe" console, but if they want to present a viable alternative to Desperado in Criminal they need to do a better job of it. Doppelganger, Logos, now Box-E...maybe an ok choice for a very specific deck build, but you'll end up wishing you had used Desperado instead.

I think this complements Tag-me decks quite well. Its Public Sympathy + 2 MU (normally a 6 credit investment). I can see Fixed-suite Andy using this to great effect.

Yes, it is a "good deal" as far as MU and hand size for the cost. But, will the bargain save me as much money as Desperado will make for me?

It depends on how often you are making successful runs. Different cards for different play styles/decks.

As mentioned, in a tag-me deck, having the extra hand size can keep you alive. Also nice since Criminal doesn't have good net damage prevention.

I've actually gotten decent use of Box-E out of faction, in a Chaos Theory Overmind deck (replaced Deep Red with Box-E, deck was overall improved thanks to the bigger hand compensating for powerful card draw despite -1 MU / Overmind counter).

I did play around with Box-E in faction but personally I favor Desperado for aggression and Logos for control.

Box-E is definitely a solid card; but Desperado is OP and thus it's difficult to compete with as the playing field is not level. Logos is decently competitive in decks such as most Iain's that don't run a lot because its ability to fetch any card can turn a game around which has some nice cachet. But, sure, Box-E is playable and certainly can shine in decks that just want both more MU and hand size to function.

I have Boxxy in many of my Anarch decks, since Anarchs - more often than not - need much MU and handsize. Wyldside, self-inflicted brain damage, etc. Some of my Shaper decks like her, too. So does Andromeda. (Modded -> Boxxy. No more discarding)

So all in all this is a very versatile console. I like her.
