Yes. To make it easier, you could put it horizontally in your discard pile instead of vertically, so long as you don't manipulate the place it is in it (because that would interfere with other card effects, like Obi).
Of course, that also makes it easier for your opponent to keep the Wolfman into consideration.

Wolfman comes into play if you win the Force Struggle by 3 or more, not an edge battle. So, you could use him in an edge stack, but he won't come back until the Force Phase.
