Has anyone ever used this card in some kind of combo? I've been wondering about this unit for so long it's mind boggling.

For a 2 cost unit I don't see it doing an awful lot. The reaction is a one-time event that reveals 5 cards in your deck, possibly tipping off your opponent to what kind of objectives and units to expect. It only has 1 HP and not a single unit dmg icon (not even edge enabled). Even it's force icons do jack to help you in the edge battle. The only thing it's got going for it is it's shielding ability.

I daresay this may be the most useless unit in the entire DS cardpool! :P (At least for early draw. Conceptually it would be nice to draw the superlaser blast due to this guy, but thats reaaaaaly situational)
That's the thing: there are not enough navy events/enhancements that meet the cost criteria. And we probably won't see enough to justify this guy's existence in the near future. I'll give him the benefit of doubt though, as he has HUGE potential to be an absolute gamechanger.

As long as those cards don't exist, his best use is to block cheap attackers thanks to the shield. Can actually block a lot of damage.
