A switch can only take place if there are two items available to switch. Therefore, both players must have at least 1 card in their edge stack to allow the switch to occur. (I've confirmed this with the development team.)
Nice, I had been scouring the internet looking for precisely this ruling. Makes sense, as Reversal would otherwise allow you to essentially auto-win edge battles as the defender (barring things like Twist). Still a phenomenal card, but considerably less close to being broken.
Good catch on this one. I know the guys I play against would gladly attempt to "switch" stacks with me after they played nothing and I played 2 Heats of Battle and a Protection.
I wonder why this isn't included in the FAQ.

Thank you so much! I did a search in the FAQ for the card name an could not find anything.

But if i play "Reversal of Fate" and i switch the edge stack with my opponent, so that the Fate-Cards of the opponents stack now valide for my site.

For Example: I put e non-fate-card in my edge stack and my opponent puts a fate-card (1 damage on a target unit) in his edge stack and then I play "Reversal of Fate". Thus than the effect of the opponents fate-card now can be used against himself? So that now I can damage his units with 1 damage because of his fate-card?

Yes, that's how it works.
