Although the card does not say it explicitly...you discard the enhancement from play, not from your hand. So if your opponent has an annoying enhancement out (even a resource enhancement) you can discard it when this guy comes into play. That's why its ability is ok
His reaction can discard an opponent's enhancement. If a card's text doesn't say "your" or "your opponent's" or "a friendly" or "an enemy", etc, then it can apply to either player.
Discard can refer to the play area as well; it's not only talking about what's usually thought of as discarding (taking the card from someone's hand). So, saboteur can let you "kill" an opponent's enhancement...or your own I guess if the situation warrants.
Fascinating...I was always under the impression that "discard" meant from hand and "destroy" or "Kill" meant from the table. Ok, yes, he's got a pretty good reaction, then. Death to Sith Library! LOL!
