Just checking, if the balance is with the DS and I have this and Heat of Battle in my own edge stack, can I then resolve Hallucination to be Heat of Battle to do one damage, resolve it a second time to do one damage and then when we get to the Fate step for Heat of Battle I resolve it again for one damage. So, I can get 3 damage out of one copy of Heat of Battle?
correct
I'm just waiting until I have the chance to trigger Hallucination with Imperial Fist and toss 6 damage back at LS.
That would just be evil...
Hi, i just want to to know, when i am the defending player, can i use "target of opprtunity" from the opponents stack? the card says, "if you are the attacking player" and "deal one damage to the engaged objective". seems like, that i can't use it, because i am not the attacking player?
I imagine you could target it but it won't do anything as you're not the attacking player. Also, it's the engaged objective so you'd be hitting your own stuff at that point even if it did work.
You can copy the effect of Target with Hallucinations - the effect is "deal one damage to the engaged objective". The "if you are the attacking player" is a conditional, and Hallucinations ignores all of those.
And there are situations (granted, they're edge cases at best, but still) when you would actually want to copy a Target your opponent doesn't expect you to copy - say they're attacking your heavily damaged objective with something that has targeted strike and/or lots of tactics, and are counting on target+unopposed to take the objective out. You could copy target and destroy the objective before strikes happen - and this would let you move a focus with Moruth Doole to the attacker and avoid that targeted strike or tactics. Or get an event back with the emperor.
I need a clarification: one fate card or any fate card?
