I have a question, what happens if Bane Malar is unopposed? Do his unit damage icons still resolve and I can redirect them or they do not resolve at all?
You decide if you want to trigger his interrupt or not, as it is not forced.
So in an unopposed scenario, you either activate it and assign damage against a commited unit, or don't activate it at all, in which case his guns theoretically resolve as well, but just have no target to damage.
