I have a few questions regarding this card that I am hoping to get clarification on.

The text at the beginning of the card reads: "After light side conflict phase begins, target an objective you control"

          - So, do you do this before or after the LS states which objective they are going after?  If you do it prior, wouldn't the LS player want to                     engage that objective every time to avoid its affect?

          - How do you target your own objective??

Sorry if this is elementary.  I am relatively new to the game.

You should do it at the very beggining of the conflict phase - before the LS declares engagement or does something else - just pay for the event and point out the objective you choose. The idea of this card is to provoke opponent to attack some current objective. If you choose The Lady's Lessons, for example, the LS should declare all of units against it or the dial will click.

Don't worry about being new to the game, we tend to be a friendly group.  You might want to post rules questions in the rules question section of the forum in general though (people will just see it faster and you'll get a quicker answer, nothing wrong with posting here).

-The timing of the Reaction is immediately after the Conflict Phase begins.  If you check the back of the rule book, you'll see a flow chart that breaks down the flow of a turn (it's a super helpful chart to know in general).  You'll see a box in section 5 (conflict phase) that reads "Conflict phase begins."  You can play Unrefusable Offer immediately after that box and before the next one.

-There's nothing special involved in targeting your own objective.  All you have to do is declare which objective you're targeting.  Rules definition of target reproduced below (pg 27 of the rule book):

The term “target” refers to a game element (most often a card) chosen as the subject or recipient of an effect. The controller of a targeting effect chooses all targets for the effect. If there is no valid target for a targeting effect, the effect cannot be initiated.

Understood.  Thank you for your guidance and understanding of a newbies mistake.  I appreciate the input from you both!  This makes sense now.
