I want to point out that this pod has more than 7 force icons, several useful rescue/capture abilities, a useful fate card and a good mission. Synergies with Kraken is grotesque.

S&S

2x The False Report

2x Feigning Captivity

2x Asteroid Sanctuary

2x Planning the Rescue

2x Fleeing the Empire

Lots of edge presence, four Twists, lots of nifty capture/rescue shenanigans. Super fun deck to play, and one with a very high skill cap.

No problem playing the Rebel cards?

There is also some (small) synergy to playing Lady Luck with this set. You can stash a card you want captured with it to the bottom of the deck.

No problem playing the Rebel cards?

Not really. If you do get locked out of Rebel resources, Falcon/Rescue Mission can drop in a Cracken/Leia. Most of the other Rebel-affiliated cards are 0-cost events. I think the Freeholders are good enough in this deck to warrant the occasional resource matching issue.

So is False Report > Against All Odds in this deck?

I'm taking out 1 False Report for 1 Rumors at the Cantina, and took out the 2 asteroid sanctuaries for 2 questionable contacts. Rumors helps with paying for rebels, and has an extra rescue. Swindled has great synergy with infiltration specialist and leia, but idk if the other stuff is worth not having a twist and bamboozle. I haven't tried it out yet. Just mentioning it as another option.

no way do you take out the falcons out of that deck.  2 falcons are what you should be putting on to save a friend and then using rescued to bring that into play for 2, play another unit, strike with falcon and jump him to hand to put a 3rd unit out.  IMO, its what gives the deck such huge damage potential.  Plus your losing 2 twists by dropping the falcon, and many of the sets your using aren't that high in edge count, so if you want your Tamtels and Cracken to actually be able to do their damage, you need to win some key edge battles.

100% what Boba said. Plus if you're running leia your deck has 4 twists which doesn't hurt.

I think building deck around this and cracken is an interesting challenge. My view is that if you start smugglers, you want to play 2 freeholders and 2 falcons, but then it creates and interesting dilemma for what rebel sets to put in. I personally prefer to start rebels and just play 4 smuggler sets.

2x Asteroid Sanctuary (Edge of Darkness 72-1) 2x Calling In Favors (Between the Shadows 133-1) 2x Feigning Captivity (So Be It 202-1) 2x Fleeing the Empire (Core 10-1) 2x Planning the Rescue (Imperial Entanglements 177-1)

I don't like 4 twist in my deck. I always end up discarding Twists.

Twist is ok, but not in 4 copies.

Agreed. It's not cool when you're drawing several copies the same turn (though a Twist after a Twist can wreck your opponent sometimes). I feel fine with 2. I can accept 3. 4 is a little too much for my tastes, especially in a deck that is more concerned about attack than defense.
could go -1 leia +1 evac procedure.
-the zero cost enhancement ensures you can find red even if you get locked out on obj.
-good units
-dead han can find cracken a fairly key peiece to the puzzle
-adds ways to kill leia

I played Han, chewie, falcon, cracken, and tamtel last night. It was pretty good.

@BobaFett - did you find the relative lack of resources to hinder your HCF/Cracken/Tamtel deck since it only has 4?

It's actually 6 if you don't need to use Cracken's to capture cards every time. Thankfully, with the extra auto-capture from Feigning Captivity, you have more freedom on how to use Superior Intelligence.

Yeah, as Majestaat pointed out, there actually isn't a lack of resources.  I shoot for 6 resources in all my decks and this has 6 resources in it.  2 in falcon, 2 in han, and 2 in cracken.  i don't feel like cracken's resource is as crucial with all the capture provided from tamtel's set, so often times i actually use it as a resource.

So far its been fairly good, but i haven't gotten a lot of plays in with it yet either so, its still early for me to say with any certainty that its really good, but, it does feel good.  If there is any weakness, its of course the edge count, but you have quite a few ways to skirt that issue (bamboozled, swindled, CC operative, crossfire, LTWW, well timed rescue etc etc)

Because there were Han, Chewie and Falcon?

Brain freeze on my part.  Forgot about the 2-1 resource in Cracken's set when I first looked at the list.  That certainly would help if you need to use it that way rather than just for getting cards captured.

Yeah, seemed like adding good cards to craken and Tamtel might be a good idea.

Yeah, after some more plays the edge battle issue is certainly an issue.   unfortunately, S&S sets all tend to have such terrible edge its going to be tough to get it respectable with rebels being the minority faction, so possibly going only 4 S&S and 6 rebels might be the way to go.  I don't really want to go into jedi since cracken and tamtel are the key components of the deck.

2x Planning the Rescue

2x Fleeing the Empire

2x The False Report

2x Feigning Captivity

2x Asteroid Sanctuary

Played this list yesterday at a regional. Won 3 out of 4 LS games. Freeholders did a great job.

4 Twists are risky, but the Leia Set from GA will replace the core on in this deck.

My only issue is that you have to run S&S affiliation which means you could get locked out of your rebel cards
