Played this card last night. It really annoyed my friend who was running a S&S deck because Swindled could only target him. Great card. Let them go through unblocked! They still get the unopposed bonus. But 1 damage is better than 4 or more!

But doesn't the card effect only work if you discard it from your hand? The situation you describe seems to indicate that you already put the offical into play and then had swindled played on it. That, or I am reading it wrong :P
I had it in play. Then he bounced it before combat. Then I was able to discard it to prevent damage during the combat phase. Yes he's new to the game. lol
I used this card today for the first time. Can someone verify that the card cancels ALL damage from an attack, or does it just cancel the damage from one attacker? The wording implies that it cancels all of it. If so, what an annoyance. :)

It cancels all of one occurance of damage. Remember units strike separately so if your opponent has 3 units all with blast damage it can only stop one of them as they each strike and do their damage separately.

Can this card be cancelled by C3PO or counter stroke? Initially me and a friend didnt think so because it doesnt have the event keyword or some text, saying it is considered an event card. But since that would make it unstoppable we werent sure in the end.

Corrupt Official is not an event card.
Therefore effects that cancel event cards do not cancel Corrupt Official.
And about this ability being "unstoppable" compared to event cards: most event cards are offensive in nature and are all a surprise when being played. Corrupt Official has a defensive power and is already on the table when his ability is being used; Taking the surprise element away. You could do away with him with some effect that removes units/characters from play or with enough targeted strike damage if you wanted to.

You are not right. Corrupt officials ability triggers when played from hand. So its quite surprising (; To make his ability not that strong, it only negates one source of damage. So when you strike with 2 different units and get unopposed damage, only one of these he can cancel.

Ah right you are. Better learn to read the cards more closely.
I will however stand by my assesment that since it is defensive in nature it is not OP.
Claiming it isnt OP because of its defensive nature seems odd, as C3PO and counter strike are also defensive cards (against force choke etc). Still, it managed to win me the game by blokking both enhanced yoda en luke with two officials, leaving my opponent 1 dmg short of winning his final objective before the dial hit 12! :P

I was just wondering, since this card would be the exception to piling events on top of each other and resolving them one by one. It made C3PO kinda useless!
Having used this card extensively it is amazing. I have a hard time not including it in any Scum deck.
The whole pod is incredible for a scum deck. With all of the enhancements scum has even explosive charge is viable. (Echo caverns goes boom)

These guys are great even as 3 life blockers
How does this card work vs. Home One's reaction? Does it block both damage or do I choose one of the two objectives to block the damage on?

I think it check against a single objective.

It can only stop damage to one of them.
