Technically you deal 1+3 damage to engaged Hoth objective.
Some philosophers from Alderaan have theorized that it equates to 4 damage. Unfurtunately their planet went boom before they had a chance to prove it.

Yes, if you are attacking a hoth objective, the interrupt would deal 1 damage to it (and any other hoth objectives your opponent controls), and then you continue with your strike doing 3 more damage.

amazing against hoth decks, not as much against anything else.

I don´t know if I would call 3 blast damage and shielding "not much good"
In truth this guy kinda stinks vrs hoth, prep for evacuation kinda kills the idea of big drop bomb units like this, with prep for evac being played in some seluth decks and speeder decks it kinda bites to play big units as they will all get bounced.
i'd beg to differ considering you could get it back in play for a low cost with the right cards. i say bounce it back to my hand atleast it didnt get killed
if you can get it out for 5 ( or even 4 cost), I think it's worth blowing up an objective even if they bounce him, more so if he's running hoth deck since this thing will do damage to all objectives before he strikes. however it also depends on what else you have out as well. if emperor's out then it might be less likely you blow up objective since he's likely to get bounced.

Maybe a stupid question, but does "When this unit is focussed to strike" mean when defending with this unit also?
" mean when defending with this unit also"

Yup

" mean when defending with this unit also"

Yup

Cheers, that's what I thought.

We need a DS Hoth mission to make this card slightly more worth playing.

not going to happen.  For the most part, the Hoth cycle has been written off because the power level of the cards/sets is pretty low, certainly compared to everything post hoth.  Even worse than that though, cards like this , and many others in the hoth cycle,  really need either you or your opponent to be running lots of hoth stuff and that doesn't happen anymore.

Missions may be the way to raise the power level of some hoth cards.
