Ok, question that arose during my last play session: Does the unit has to strike at a Hoth objective (eg. have blast damage) or does it just have to strike at all against any target while attacking a Hoth objective?

It just has to strike. Doesn't have to damage the objective or be able to damage it. Just needs to complete a strike during an engagement involving a Hoth objective.
Just wanted to make sure, but since the effect is passive and the same it doesn't matter if you have one or two of these in play right the effect is the same?

That is correct, having 2 in play gives no additional benefit beyond some defense against Enhancement removal.

Ok, thanks. Had a pretty annoying situation with 3 LS Hoth objectives in play and this against my Navy aggro deck. Fortunately we played it wrong ;P
