Excellent way to represent their jetpack manuevering...this is a strong and versatile unit!

High cost, but the mobile keyword makes sure it is never stuck on a planet doing nothing, a decent top end to a curve.

The most powerful but also most expensive of the Falcon/Raider/Crisis cycle. I think I like this unit's cheaper cousins a little better, but it's still quite a strong card.

I am to lazy to look at the Falcon and Raider cards but this is pretty amazing considering there is no attachment restriction for this unit. I have won a game with only this unit and Shadowsun at a planet with 5 enemy units. Of course, the guard had a repulsor impact field and a cadre attached.

Biggest use for this card, wind a command struggle at planet two and move him over to the first planet to participate in the combat. The three command makes him a versatile fellow. The ability to move at the combat phase also makes him nearly impossible to snipe him with opponents warlord because he moves during combat.

Very powerfull 4/5 because of it's abilities, command and survivability.

Attachments can be put onto this guy aswell and that's great.

It seems to be slightly underpriced. Mobile is great in early- and midgame, which is an open contraddiction with cost 5.

4/5

I'm tempted to add Death From Above to my Shadowsun deck just so I can pay CBS for 1 resource, but I think Tau needs more & better mobile units before DFA is viable.

Death from above would be a 5/5 card if it could put Crisis Battle Guard into play for one resource, but sadly it does not work with Elite units.

I was so fixtated on checking to see if it is loyal or not so Tau can play it, that I skipped over the non-Elite part in the text. Oh well. I guess there's a reason why even Baharroth players don't run 3x in their deck.

Even so, this is an often under-rated card. Solid command presence combined with combat presence that moves in is most excellent. Its only the new Tau uniques that stop this being a Shadowsun autoinclude.

Most combats in this game lasts for 1 round. If you have a unit can choose to participate in a combat, you want high attack to end the combat early. Three hammers is great, though.

3/5

Mobile , Hammers and Durability is great value, also it can carry certain attachments.

The Pilot keyword is very important there, for Missile pod as well as DDS if you run that (I'm not convinced Tau need it with Gun Drones and access to Cardinis already).

With elites getting more love I think the time has come for this card to really shine.
