I'm probably just really bad at this game but I quite like this unit. (its probably because i played Deathwing for 15 years on the table top...). He's an elite at less than elite cost, he passes the vanilla test i believe at 4/5 for 4, and on top of that, has a pretty nice ability. I wish it was until the end of combat rather than the first round of combat but still nice for keeping your unit in place long enough to accomplish what you wanted to.
The only thing i really wish is that there was more dark angel synergy with Vezuel and dark angel units.
Would Tense Negotiations used to trigger Ferrin bypass his protection?
No, the Deathwing Terminators are still immune during the first combat round. Even though Ferrin is not and 'enemy card' it is still considered to be and enemy card effect when your opponent triggers it against you.
RRG: Enemy
Enemy is used to refer to game elements that your
opponent controls (e.g. warlord, army units, support
cards).
Ferrin -> Not controlled by opponent, so not an enemy card effect when triggered
I stand corrected
I seemed to remember the arbitrators had ruled it otherwise in a similar situation, but I can see from the rules section that this is not the case.
