No thanks, I'll take the Armourbane of Wraithguard, or the lower price of Destructors, or the double command of Falcons.

Much like the Bork'an Recruits, these guys are actually 4/3's (most of the time) with command for 3.

I personally think that's some great stats for cost. In special when you factor in the potential Gift of Isha and/or Empower.

4/5

What makes Bork'an Recruits so amazing is their cost of 2.

As Asklepios noted, I think Eldar have plenty of better options in the 3-cost deparment.

May find a place with players who like rushing first planets with their warlord.

Too fat.

I agree with Majestaat - part of the appeal of Bork'an is that they are also a 2 drop with a command icon.

Meanwhile there's actually anti-synergy with some of the aggro Warlords - Aun'Shi hits and runs (thus dropping the Corsairs back to 2/3) or Baharroth (if he brings corsairs from HQ, but then Mobiles away they also drop to 2/3)

Still, may have it's place in some decks.

True, they are for their cost, different.

However, this card again can be put into the same deck as Gift of Isha and Empower. While I also prefer running the Wraithguard and/or Rangers over it, this card by itself is a perfectly fine card and allows Eldar to go mono-faction. Together with the Warlock Destructor, I feel.

This card fits badly with Eldorath (who already runs 4x Council, 3x Wraithguard, 3x Wildrider and doesn't really have room for more 3-cost combat units), but might prove strong with certain alliance compositions or with future warlords.

I'm under that impression as well.

Gift of Isha already has plenty of good (and overall better) targets, while Empower is somewhat situational not for lack of Eldar units, but because of costs. Having this unit or not shouldn't affect how usable that event is.

I know it's not much to most people, but I like how it encourages my opponent to send his own warlord to some other planet.

Personally I'd be very surprised if Baharroth doesn't have a 3-cost signature as well, if only to feed Death From Above synergy.

Other Warlords?

Not Aun'shi, as he wants his hitters to be Tau units, generally.

Not Kith, as Kith is also crowded in the quality 3-4 cost slots.

Maybe Shadowsun though, as she'll happily turn up to where the Corsair is and give it a Cadre for a fairly easy to assemble 1/6/5.

Maybe Urien, though not sure what that deck looks like yet, to be honest.

Shadowsun is the most likely to choose to leg it and leave Corsair as a 2/3 (well apart from Aun'Shi who doesn't have a choice, but has to leg it). The cadre thing is nice, but still.

Urien might work, especially as I see him as a hunt deck.

I wouldn't completely bank on Baha as a 3 cost for DfA, since I think there could be plenty of upcoming units for E/DE with Mobile and 3+ cost to make DfA viable, whilst a 2 cost mobile sig unit could actually be really handy for keeping the curve in such a deck down. Of course it could still easily be a 3 or even 4 cost, just not convinced it *has* to be.
