Excellent card to protect the weenies and even your Warlord. I feel this card holds excellent use for many AM and Ork alliences. Allowing you to protect a multitude of X/1 or X/2 bodies much better. While also having a beyond decent body and Command by itself.

4/5.

Yeah, considering that AM is likely on the rise this pack thanks to other cards, and as AM is likely to run a couple of these, I'm very much inclined to retire my Zarathur deck for now.

Damn you, servants of the carrion throne!

Yeah it's a really nice ability when you think of it. All (in a way) become BAV's just when this card is around. A really powerfull ability for something that's also 2/4 by itself, stats that really arn't to shabby.

Just to make sure, this is able to trigger on EVERY non-vehicle unit, correct? Example: it basically nullify's aoe 1?

It can't do that.  AoEs aren't "attacks."

Asklepios, I do not follow your logic.

Klaus it basically nullifies zarathurs ability on attacks.

I wasn't talking about AoEs, Klaus. I was thinking more in terms of attack values, and Zarathur tending to present attacks of 1 or 2 which need his damage boost to be lethal.

I guess on the upside, ability based damage is still effective, so maybe Zarathur will still work after all.

Would the reactions stack if you had 2 or 3 out at a planet?

Yes

"Stack" probably isn't the right word because each one resolves completely before you can trigger the next. You can trigger each Chimera, one after the other, though.

Question about Steel Legion Chimera.

If a Tactical Squad Cardinis attacks on a planet with Three Cadians Mortar squad and a Steel Legion Chimera ?

Is Cadians Mortar Squad take hit ?

Yes. An AOE is not an "attack" and thus Steel Legion Chimera does not trigger. Steel Legion Chimera's reaction specifically says by an attack.

Thanx Sizer

So, just to clarify, if you were in the fortunate (and fairly unlikely) position of having three Steel Legion Chimeras on a planet simultaneously (regardless of whether they are Exhausted or not) they will fully block the damage from any attacks below 3?

Thanks

If you had three SLC on the same planet they would indeed (in total) prevent all damage from a single swing of three or lower to any non-vehicle unit you control at that planet if you opt to trigger all three reactions.

E.g. they cannot prevent damage dealt to each other.

Yes, unless the attacks target a vehicle (such as one of the Chimeras). Their effect only protects non-vehicle units.
