Pretty cool card if you're playing a higher than average cost deck (Greyjoy/holy deck?)
Wow, ye, this one could really turn a whole game around by itself in the right deck (or more like against the right deck) :o
I prefer original text but still this plot is powerful weapon against swarm and low cost characters. Unfortunately it saves only one turn for us as next round we will be again flooded by cheap characters. Anyway good to see such cards in environment.
The original is too powerful. I expect to see this plot used in conjunction with Rule By Decree quite a lot.

What's the rule of thumb for "return" effects like this one? Since it doesn't explicitly say cards in play, does it include discarded or dead characters as well?
Cards only affect cards that are in play unless their text explicitly specifies other out of play areas (like hand, dead pile, or discard pile). So, no - this only affects characters that are in play on the board.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. It would have been a nice one to include in a Bolton deck otherwise. ;-)
