Man… new locations for House Stark face a massive hurdle (Frozen Outpost/Moat) and I just don't know that Winterfell's practice yard does the trick. I think I'd include it for 1 gold, but 2 feels like too much to ask for a +1STR'ish +1 power (maybe) challenge effect…
Melee seems a pretty potent keyword to me as it may well force through challenges that would otherwise fail or cause the opponent to cede an unopposed challenge if it would cause to many resources to be be spent blocking. Also renown gain is always welcome.

But is it worth more than what Stark already has access to? Would you play this instead of, say, Frozen Outpost or Frozen Moat or even Last River? What Stark deck does this support in a way those (and other cards) don't already?

Similar to Harrenhal to expensive for what it gives. Do we really need melee in Stark deck or conditional renown. Much worse than what other houses got.

You know, I agree with all the comments about it being too expensive; too many other competing locations; etc. BUT - wow I'm just thinking about the crazy potential power grab this could offer (for a 2-gold, repeatable location). With all the ways Stark has to stand characters (or non-kneelers), you could easily pick up 2 (or more) extra power per round giving one of those guys (or gals) Renown (not to mention the buff that "melee" gives). Would be interested to hear from anyone who has actually tried it out.
Used it recently in a similar deck build. Works fairly well witha strong unique deck. The renowns help a lot towards push at end but with the limited save responses stark has doesn't fair to well against a tard burn deck of course but otherwise helps a lot with rush.
