Challenges: Kneel Pentoshi Manor to choose an opponent's attacking character. The controller of that character chooses to either have that character claim 1 power and remove it from the challenge, or that character gets -2 STR and loses all keywords until the end of the phase.

Immediate thought is this combined with Lion's Gate (ASoS). Either their characters are reduced in Strength and lose keywords such as Stealth, Renown, and so forth. Or they get a power, will already be comitted to not attack again, and then lose the power from Lion's Gate's effect.
What is a nice surprise is the lack of a unique symbol. So I could potentially have three of them in play, for some powerful defense, though at the risk of giving away power.

I see this as a defense for Lanni decks using The Power Behind the Throne (LotR) so they can protect themselves from losing an Intrigue challenge in a pinch. It can also work well with Bronn (LotR) to ensure that you have more deadly characters on the defense.

The card says it's "house lannister"... but I cant help seeing it as "House Targaryen"

Sooo good, especially since the character doesn't stand when removed. Now you can run Slander and Lies (HtS) in a deck without fear that it is wasted. There is also good synergy with this and Joffrey Baratheon. (PotS)

I am attacking with only one character and my opponent triggers pentoshi manor, i remove my attacker from the challenge and he claims one power. Can my opponent declare defenders and win the challenge?

There are two player actions during a challenge. If he triggers the manor before the "declare stealth and defenders" framework, then there are no participating characters in the challenge and the challenge ends immediately without giving them a chance to declare defenders. If they use the 2nd player action, which is after "declare stealth and defenders" framework, and you choose to remove your 1 character from the challenge - and they do have a participating character, then they can successfully win that challenge.

Woo hoo! Unrestricted! Unfortunately, as a die-hard Lannister player, my big concern is that it will turn up again in Targ burn decks, primarily KotHH versions as they can cover the OOH fee better.

Stalwart Shield + a Noble crest character. The noble is attacking. Use pentoshi again. Cant reduce str because of Stalwart Shield. Does the Noble character suffer the keyword lost? Or he has immunity against pentoshi?

If you choose to let it stay in the challenge, it would lose all keywords. Stalwart Shield only does what it says on the card, and gives no protection against Pentoshi in general, only the strength reducing part of it.

KotHH targ burns use Favorable Ground,so it's unlikely that u ll see them use Pentoshi.It is however tempting to use in other targ burn versions...
