Nice chance for 2 extra card draws if you can chain the river (Maybe even incentive to start a plot manipulation deck?) But otherwise underwhelming on its own.

This is not card draw. It puts the card in your hand and is exempt from the draw cap. Pre-challenge phase card generation is fairly strong even though the card has relatively weak stats.

I want to know what the lead-in or starting River plot is going to be. All three so far state to also use another River plot from your used pile. So what River plot do you use first?
I would say this one or an as yet unknown one that gave gold. The initiative is very low, but it may suit control decks nicely to give more options in the first turn.

True, but I mean a real lead in like the City plots have with At the Gates (GotC). But similar to how City of Spiders (TftRK) can't be used to trigger AtG, I don't know how they will need to word the initial plot so that it can still be triggered by the other River plots. Hopefully that is the intent.

@sloth there may not be a fixed start plot.

One can hope. Lol.
The wording is awful: 'trigger the "when revealed" effect'... it should read 'initiate' or something, because triggering a non-triggered effect makes no sense in the rules
It does make sense actually. Well, kinda. The rules use two different meanings for the word "trigger." I guess they could have used a different word, like initiate, but it doesn't seem to roll off the tongue as well as trigger.
