Does this cancel the power-gain from Unopposed challenges also?

Yes it does. If you do not win the challenge you cannot claim unopposed
Does 'No one wins the challenge' means that, if I am the defender, my characters with vengeful stand?

No, you didn't lose the challenge.

Are passive abilities still triggered, i.e. deadly would still be in effect? It's only the determination of the challenge winner that is cancelled, not the challenge itself?
The challenge is not ended, no. Only the fact who wins it. Deadly etc would still have effect since it doesn't care who won - only how many characters with deadly each player had (but not Renown for example, since no player won, or Vengeful or Vigilant).

Thanks, that's how I've played it as well – just wanted to confirm that.
So if somebody plays this, then their opponent plays Misinformation - what happens? Does the Misinformation cause a winner to be decided?
Notice that these are cancels, so my bet is that once the first of those two events is played the save/cancel response window closes and the other player doesn't get to play his event. I mean, you can't cancel same thing twice if the first cancel was successful, cause there is nothing to cancel.
Missinformation could not be played in that case, as nobody would be winning the challenge after this event is played (and misinformation requires it).

What's worth noting is that playing misinformation allows for this event to be used afterwards since it can also be played in the same save/cancel response window and the Martell player would be losing the challenging at that point.
Hey everyone :) I was just wondering at what point in the framework action window should this card be played?

After step 1. Determine the winner of the challenge?

Or before it? (after defenders are declared, during the player action window)

Thanks!

1. Determine the winner of the challenge (Framework event initiates)
2. Burning on the Sand (Save/cancel responses to framework event)

So, after the determination of the winner initiates, and before it resolves, you play it as a cancel.
