Anyone think its worth it to include him in a Greyjoy discard deck? i could reduce him to 2 gold to play
if you have 1 free spot I don't see why you shouldn't include him
Eh. I'm nervous about spending 3 gold on a 1 str character with targ being so popular.
also Greyjoy rarely is high on influence

ahhh i forgot about the influence, that will probably kill it for me because your right i dont really have much at all besides Aerons chambers
he said he would be able to play him for 2 gold so that is one less gold, if the opponent burns him down then whatever, that means they have wasted 1 burn on him instead of another more important character and they have 1 less burn during the next challenge phase, and his ability only requires 1 influence which with fiefdom and sunset sea in the deck you can easily get. His ability really helps to fuel up the discard combos you can get. So if you have nothing else to add to the deck I don't think it would hurt to have 1 copy of him.
Targ burn probably wouldn't use a Flame Kissed on this guy; he would just get wiped by Threat from the North. Same problem as the Sparr has, although the Sparr is strong enough to make it worth the risk.
Might as well give including him a shot and see how it goes.

the reason iwas even considering it was because i played a game vs Stark where they discarded pretty much no attachments or events, which gave me no draw through fishmongers square, i was just trying to think outside the box a little to increase the number of cards i could discard a turn

If you aren't using an agenda you could trying using Maesters with brass link for some steady discard effects.

so i have actually never played a Maester deck, and to be honest i never will, i am so oppossed to overpowered neutral themes on principle alone i refuse to play one, sry if that comes across as prickish

but yea ive seen brass link help discard decks before
Nothing wrong with sticking to your principles. Some people refuse to put Valar in their plot decks out of principle... it's not prickish to refuse to play a card or combo you think is OP or somehow is bad for the game.. now, if you decide to lambast others for playing it... that's a horse of a different color. Red. No... blue.
How does name a card work? Do you have to name the "title" of the card, or can you name something like character card. Than any character cards that are turned up...

"if you have 1 free spot I don't see why you shouldn't include him" : Do tournaments limit you to a certain number of cards? Or as long as you have 60 cards, any number is legal. I noticed a lot of decks tend to build only around 60 cards per deck.
It is indeed the title, otherwise they would have asked for card type, like To Be a Wolf (SB) does.
Many tournament players aim to keep their decks at 60 cards, for optimum efficiency, so if they have set aside 30 characters for the deck and have picked 29 and need a low cost character, that is what they mean by a free spot.

Could you please clarify, how this card works? Can I choose any of my opponents (we are playing in 6 people), name a card (title of the card) and discard top three cards from his deck?

The effect says to "discard the top 3 cards of a player's deck." There are no restrictions other than "player." So you name a card (by title), then discard 3 cards from any one player's deck (including yourself). There are no hidden restrictions in the text.
