One thing I would say makes a strong case for the card is the fact that you're able to recycle an Ambush character or a come into play effect. Put this on Dragon Thief (AE), Dragon Knight (TBC), or Daario Naharis (WLL) and you're able to re-use the effect of the card again. (Now... that's got me thinking... hmmm.)
In fact it wouldn't surprise me to see an errata limiting the number of uses.
Well, AaA states:
Cannot be returned to your hand.
So i don't think Unburnt will work.
It will work, only the "then..." part won't be resolved, so Unburnt becomes very powerful with AaA agenda.
To be clear: Since the "save" part of the effect must resolve completely and successfully before the "then, return to hand" part even initiates, there is nothing in AaA that stops you from triggering, or resolving, the save.
This card is a baller in AaA decks. I wonder if it will get "House Targaryen Only" as an errata. I know that I'm usually running at least one even in AaA decks out of other houses.
edited: I just read the above posts about "cannot be returned to hand" business. interesting.
