This action is really fun.

Say you have one Leia in play and one in hand and you want to trigger this action, is she "captured" before you can put her back in your hand?
She certainly is, freeing up all your CDs from focus. This would not prevent you from getting that second Leia on the table.

Actually, that does stop the 2nd Leia from hitting the table. When an effect using "then," you have to successfully complete the first part before you can complete the part following the "then."

If I attack with Luke Skywalker and my opponent blocks, I win the edge, then my opponent strikes and deals damage. I then play the ability to swap in a new Luke. Is this Luke participating in the batte and does it get another strike?

The new Luke is not participating in the current engagement. He could start a new one however.

Just to be sure: if Luke Skywalker from 'A heroes resolve' is played as an enhancement on a fighter, he cannot be swapped by this objective right?

Yes, because he's an enhancement, not a unit, and thus cannot be targeted by this. However, if you had Luke out as a unit and you used this to swap him with a Hoth Luke, you could use that new Luke as an enhancement instead of a unit.

Quick question from a beginner, can you overfocus this objective?

no you can only "focus" ready (non exhausted) objectives, enhancements, or units.....thus one focus may be placed on it.

so you can either use it to pay for stuff, or use its action ability.

Is the action on this objective limited to once per turn?

For example, if I had a KK in an engagement attacking and two in hand, could I activate this obj twice in the same turn to have KK attack 3 different objectives (the original one, plus two more with two new KKs)?

Part of the action is focusing the objective. The game mechanics prohibit you focusing the objective if it is already exhausted, so the answer to your question (with a single H&L on table) is no. However, if you have 2 copies of H&L on the table you could use each of them once. You would only need 2x Kyle (or any other valid unit) to do this.

Ah of course! I missed that all important first bit - "focus this objective..."

Thanks.

Aren't there cards that could be used to remove a focus token from the objective?  And then if so, couldn't you then focus it again as a new action to use the ability?

If you find a way to remove the focus token you can indeed use H&L a second time.

If the unit on the board has damage/focus tokens on it and is committed (for example), the new card that gets swapped in is both cleared from all tokens and being committed right?

Similar question, what happens to enhancements?  Do they all get discarded when the new unit is put in play?

Yes, everything on the unit goes away.
