I really love this card. I just wish I could cap planets easier than I do.
If the AM was able to ally with the Tau this card would have done much more as it currently shows. 4/5 because of great potential.
Winning commands is far from simple with AM. With this location, you usually get more presence on planets you're already well-armed. I don't like it for 2R.
2/5
Would I play this card if it wasn't yellow? Not in all decks.
3/5 (I review signature cards comparing to other signature cards)
I would (although I seriously doubt that it would be a common card and probably would be unique). It would be amazing in both Worr and Coteaz since it helps create more bodies, which helps for both the Forward Barrack and Coteaz's ability. Even in Makism it helps convert the big command on elites into additional bodies.
The issue this card has is more that Straken himself likes to rush, which makes it harder for him to win a spread of command. The card itself is good
@bolomolo
I'd definitly make room for 1 or 2 in my Worr deck. With a low cost curve and 9 1-for-1s, 4+ 2-for2's its like a nerved mini barrack and will annoy my oponent for sure.
Except it's Straken's signature card...
Bolomolo a few posts up mentioned that the card would possibly not be worth playing if it was a common/loyal card rather than a signature. Gosgosh was merely following on from that sentiment to say that it would be very playable outside of Straken, if it were legal to do so
It's an example of a signature card that, if it were a loyal card, would be good in every other A.M. warlord deck. "Better in Not-Straken".
You think? A.M. + Allies can get some strong command going. That sort of card helps to push token generation and lots of tokens help the A.M. game (as exhaust/sacrifice targets vs. expensive enemy units).
