This in combination with Kroot to actually generate enough economy in combat to play it could be a thing. The pilot trait and teh elite for 4 cost are both in it's favour, and the lack of command isn't so bad in a deep striker.

It's like a punchier Klaivex, with more telegraphing, no kill effect and no command. Put like that, looks pretty weak.

You can Deploy it with STC Fragment for 3 resource.

I think it'd make far more sense to compare it to Aun'ui Prelate, where it's Ambush Deep Strike versus straight Ambush, and +1 ATK, Elite trait with no Ethereal retreat versus the Prelate's buff. So I'd say it comes down to how you view the Prelate, and whether this has a significant advantage over it.

This one's definitely interesting.  In Aun'shi, I'd still rather have the Prelate because Orbital City and Kau'yon Strike, plus the buff.  In other Tau warlords, he plays a similar role to the Prelate, but not as synergistic.  I think I will play him in Vezuel, though.

Right, I view the Prelate as a great card for Aun'shi (unless you're playing Aunshi/Eldar Vehicle lo-hi game) and a poor card for everyone else.

This card I see as a decent play for decks with good DS synergies (Vezuel, then) but weak for everyone else. It can take a Valkyris Jump Pack (though timing is tricky), it can go with Beleaguered Garrison and if you're flooded with resources, you can keep it safe with the DA Cruiser.
