Great for being immune to rout effects
Yeah, its untelegraphed and outside of action windows, so it has that over Catachan Outposts and the like. I think 1 resource for +X attack is never a terrible deal when it is there as an uncounterable surprise (yes, pedants at the back, except for with Nullify).
I actually like this card a fair amount, even if I have reservations about the Warlord himself.
Allows Zogwort to be a real Warlord hunter combined with a Snotling Attack (or two).
4/5.
Very circunstantial, but cheap extra punch, and unlike Catachan the enemy cannot react to this other than with shields. Nice.
Great fun.
Got Kith to deploy to planet where I'd already played a Snotling attack. Zoggy brought in one more at deploy and then Launched the Snots for an attack of 6 on the Packmaster. She had a shield so survived to run away, but she won't forget that.
I did have one question. Since it says an Ork unit declares an attack, that can be a Snotling, yes? So a Snotling can count itself in the + bonus that this card gives as it is making its attack. For instance, I had 5 Snotlings at the planet. I could have played this card, declared an attack with a Snotling, and gotten the full +5 bonus to his attack.
I think that is true. I have to get there, though, by reading the mechanics only and not thinking about the fluff.
I belive so. Moreover in your previous case, you could also swing 7 with Zogwort, as when he attacks the order of reactions can be: 1.) One snotling pops out. 2.) Play launch da snots. In both cases the triggering effect is his attack, which is then followed by a reaction of yours (snotling), then your opponent (if any) and then you again (launch d.s.) and so on...
Rare, corner case situation came up tonight. In-faction game vs. Nazdreg. Nazzy played Snotling Attack and put 4 on Planet 1. I realized after reading over Launch da Snots twice that Old Zogwort could use Nazdreg's own Snotlings against him in an attack.
This is probably the one time this will ever come up, but boy would this card make a Zogwort mirror match a mess.
That's insane. Good catch!
Question came up during a game tonight: Can you trigger both of these off the same attack? Pretty sure you can, but wanted to be sure.
Yes, you can trigger both for the same attack. The two are copies of each other, but they are different cards, so both individual reactions can be used for the same triggering condition.
Now I've just got this ridiculous extreme case in my mind in which both players have 10 Snotlings each at the same planet then one of the players uses Launch Da Snots on the same unit twice, resulting in a +40 attack boost. Would be hilarious

Then the SM player plays Indomitable and keels over laughing.
(This is obviously a scenario where the players are playing the unofficial 3-player variant).
