I think that he will explode into the meta. There are a lot of good cards in the AM pool, but never a warlord to make them work. Until now.

Does "each other" mean Worr has to be at a planet to give the +1 ATK?

I take it as the "no retreat" only is in effect while he as at a planet, but the +1 remains whether he is there or not. Reading the card again, though made me wonder if I had that right.

You do have it right, and that is a big part of why he is so good.

AM units get +1 attack and can't retreat or be routed as long as they're at a green planet and it doesn't matter whether or not Worr is there. The only effect that Worr's presence brings is that any army unit that retreats is destroyed.

Thanks. Yes, I should have written "destroyed if retreat" not "no retreat."

To clarify, the reason it says "Each other" is so that both army units and tokens benefit from his effects but he himself does not, otherwise he would never be able to retreat either. Fun fact, enemy tokens can run from him, as well as his own tokens at non-green planets.

And thus, the reign of Zogwort begins.

Begins? Continues, you mean.

And thus, the reign of Zogwort begins.

But his tokens die at the end of the round anyway, so why bother retreating?

Has anyone found a warlord who can consistently give this guy a decent game? In our meta he only loses out of complete garbage draws and major misplays, generally speaking he is untouchable.

Zarathur is not a bad place to start for that, neither is Salaine nor Eldorath. With the new cards from What Lurks Below coming in a few days we might get a shake up of conventional tactics anyway, and once the cycle is complete I'm pretty sure Mavros will be more than capable of putting Worr in the dirt where he belongs too.

Oh, and if you decide to go Dark Eldar you may want to give a trick like Holding Cell a try - it's a better card than people give it credit for.. ;)

Eldorath? Really?

I've played several games as Starbane VS Worr and lost all of them. And I don't consider myself as a bad player.

On the other hand Ragnar wins VS Worr in my experience.

Sure. Eldorath can be used to crush Worr command-wise in a choke strategy, while Mind War, Counsil and Destructors rush the planets, but as with any game much depends on the flop, your own setup as well as the opponent's. And a card like subdual is nice for Eldorath against Broderick.

Worr is no God. Yes he has practically been riding a never-ending Christmas-present-spree the whole cycle, but he is certainly not unstoppable. Last week I even went 1-1 with a Shadowsun/Marines setup against a very competent Worr player and none of us drew a great starting hand. (And I'm not a particularly great player myself). The Devastators, for instance, is an excellent card to deal with the Barracks and Outpost and throw in a Rally during the fight and you've got a surprise super-heavy hit with the potential to finish off Worr just like that.

In my experience Eldorath is an easy fight, he cannot deploy enough manpower to keep the fight. Yes, the proverbial Eldar command superiority is gonna give you some problems, but Worr itself have a pretty good command, with units able to fight back instead of just fighting the command. Shadowsun in the other hand is one of the warlords that give me more problems.
