John b doesn't let you clean the tag, you get the tag when turn ends
Congrats on you win, really enjoyed hearing your thought process as you drafted
Enjoyed hearing about draft in practice - really does sound like a lot of fun, and being forced to build with unsual cards is a challenge all of itself
Might also help people discover new synergies and strategies for normalformat that were less obvious before (or at the very least show that a sub-optimal card can still be used effectively). I mean, if you're a Criminal really set on spending your influence on other things besides a good Decoder, suddenly Peacock starts to look pretty good...
However, I think you had a misconception about Joshua B/Data Leak Reversal (also mentioned by ExplodyCat). Since you get the tag at the end of the turn, you won't be able to start using Data Leak until your next turn, and the corp will also certainly trash it if you already have it installed. More likely, you'll install Josha B, then on your next turn, you use him and gain the tag at the end of your turn, then on your next turn, you run a central server, install Data Leak, and trash three cards (or two, if the corp trashed Joshua B, which they should almost always do).
But when that combo does come together, it is unbelievably sweet. I was playing a constructed game once where the corp let me slip a Data Leak by, and I trashed the top 5 cards of R&D in a single turn. It's painful.
Thanks again!
Yeah I had the horrible realization when I tried to play the combo just the other night :'( still managed a win but it was messy as heck and I had like... 8 tags at the end.
