Just for the sake of argument: I really like cards like "Cyberdex Trial" (specially in HB builds, because they have Operation recursion in Archived Memories and Reclamation Order). With some of the virus already spoiled and depending on the meta, maybe a 1-of in HB, ready to be recurred when needed wouldn't be horrendous. Or maybe it will. In a game with so much balance, cards of this type reward good meta-game reads and deckbuilding, more than in-game decisions. And a card game starts on your room with the card pool all spread out before you.

But I won't defend it...I, too, like that it exists, but that's the gist of it.

I too don't think Reestructure is anything special. It's a pain to play and it really just adds value in Weyland: BaBW or GRNDL, because of the quickness those decks can achieve the demanded credits to play this. In other decks this, more times than not, is just a dead draw. And right now factions already have better solutions...so this card is very niche-y.

Interns's awesome. But so are other cards :D

Restructure is hard to run.  I only run it if I'm playing GRNDL.  And even then it sucks if you don't draw it early.  Because most of the time you won't have the money to pay for it.

I actually really like Subliminal Messaging.  It's a pretty fickle money maker though.  Some games you save a lot of clicks and credits.  Other games you make almost nothing off it.  So I generally only run one a corp deck.  I'm never sad to see it though.

Agree - 1 seems like the magic number with this card

Restructure works well in big fat money decks.  The winner at UK Nationals used it in his HB rich deck, I had it in my Weyland too (although I didn't do as well, obviously...)

A really good card for Weyland is Subliminal Messaging, especially if the Runner is worried about getting Sea Source / Scorched, or frightened of Archer & Power Shutdown or other program trashing. Its not a transaction (regrettably) but I've had 10-15 credits off these cards easy in games.  (Also Snare! puts people off running willy nilly)

Plus!  Don't forget they pad your hand out.  A couple of these bad boys bouncing back to your hand helps protect agendas.

I guess one of the things is I tend to ICE archives, so I don't leave any free runs on the table.

PS.  Can't believe I "advised" you on the correct pronunciation of ill-ikt on your video ages ago, but its only when Fantasy Flight call the bat phone you pay attention!  Man, that hurts...   ;)

Whew! That was a long 45 minutes...! (no offense, BadPub! I enjoyed it!)

I never really thought of Cyberdex Trials as being a two-click play (as opposed to the three-click corp ability to remove viruses), but I still don't see this card ever being popular. Kind of like Restructure--you try it, then you cut it from the deck (maybe keeping one "just in case"). The cards I really wanted to tip my hat to, however, are Interns and Subliminal Messaging.

BadPub ever so briefly mentioned my primary use of Interns, which is to install ice past the third tier. This card can save me 3 or more credits, being that it ignores the install cost. They favored bringing assets back from archives, which is basically identical to using an Archived Memories (the only difference is two influence); why not just use Reclamation Order for that kind of thing? If you build your servers vertically instead of horizontally, I believe you should include one or two Interns in your deck.

GaryB already mentioned this, but Subliminal Messaging's real strength (in my opinion) isn't the economy (which is nice) but the HQ manipulation. If I can dissuade the runner from initiating a run, I can get all three copies (hypothetically speaking) in my hand at the beginning of my turn. Sure, I play one immediately for 1cr and still have my three clicks, but the other two are reducing the chance of the runner hitting something actually valuable in HQ. That's solid defense.

Worst case scenario: I had five cards, plus mandatory draw, plus three Sub Msgs...but I see this as an opportunity to "store" cards into archives for later retrieval (Jackson Howard, Interns, Archived Memories, etc).

I just have to throw this in: the teaser above the video mentioned "neutral corporation" cards, and for a brief moment I thought I missed the announcement that FFG was looking at making a neutral corp identity! The friend that started me playing Netrunner has an ongoing conversation with me about what a neutral corp identity would look like and how it would play. As far as storyline is concerned, it's just a company, not a mega-corp. As for game mechanics, we've discussed whether it would have a special ability or not, what it's deck size would be, and how much influence it would have. I don't want to influence anyone's creativity when they read this and think about it, so I won't mention any of the details we've discussed. Besides, this kind of concept is just for those who love playing the underdog or taking on a serious challenge. 8D
