Finally I have a very roundabout way of extracting valueable Beard Information from Samuel & Jakob. Great!

I kid you not. I don't listen to podcasts but i listened to all of this one.

SPOILERS

Key take aways;

Their are some weak players in the Swedish meta they can be identified by their beardless faces and the whip marks on their backs from their "significant others".

If you want better then second at a big event you need a beard.

Certain people in westros would not be sick if they took better care of their beards.

The wrong way to use a beard is to smuggle Varys in it.

Beards could scare new players since they are powerful.

Aeron Damphair's beard game is strong. Dude's in salt water all day every day and that thing looks impeccable.
As a man without a beard (for a combination of personal and professional reasons) this podcast offends my sensibilities and I demand that it is removed.

I enjoyed the non-beard related content though.

I think you compensate that well enough by having a great avatar. You're ok Dave.

Hey, all, relatively new beard grower, here. I've had some experience with beards in the past, got a few compliments, but never achieved the level of veneration that the members of this cast command.

My beard is incredibly trim at the moment, and after hearing this podcast, I'm terribly ashamed at my grooming choices. I was weak. I couldn't get through the awkward stage of beard growth -- the part where it's mostly full but somewhat patchy. In short, I didn't have the diligence to trim regularly for appropriate growth, nor to apply product.

For the foreseeable future I'll be filled with inexorable regret, unless, of course, you have any suggestions on how to accelerate beard growth. I'd like to be as swag and powerful as possible for the upcoming regional.

Any ideas?

P.S. -- I think this cast is such a valuable part of our community, for both new and veteran beard-growers.

Also, on a (somewhat) more serious note, I'm the editor of an international literary magazine, AXOLOTL. We published this piece in September of last year:

I didn't think I had room for another Thrones podcast. However, for this, I'll make room.

I'm just barely edging my way into the cast. I was clean shaven last spring and trimmed it down too much (to my big sadness) last autumn.

* Just let it grow, trim the edges a lil' bit.
* You want to buy a beard-brush, it helps a lot esp. your chin-skin.

* Oil helps with the quality(and thus loss) a lot.

* Consult a barber, they know best.

* I'm 26 and my beard has just now begun to thicken properly, it takes time for some.. Samuel is in his mid-thirties(i think?).

etc.

I'm lobbying for Beard Tips as a segment, Samuel sits on a wealth of knowledge :)

I'll put you on our short list for guests, could be a great episode for exploring ways of improving your Beard Game.

Great episode. I look forward to many more!

I've never been more proud of my cgdb avatar and the real beard growing on my face.

As someone whose current beard was largely inspired by Andreas and Jakob at World's, I can only say thank you. I've had facial hair since high school but I'd never quite had the drive to let it really breathe on its own. Maybe this year at World's will finally be my year!

Had beard. Made top 16 at GenCon. It works. Will listen again.

A man without a beard is not dressed right.

The last two month I let mey beard grow, ignoring my wife that wants me to trim it down.

If a big beard will improve my AGoT-skills, I will let it grow. If I make the Top 4 in the Regional next month, I will let you know.

Without sarcasm, irony, or jest, I really enjoyed this podcast and will continue to listen. In general, discussion on card artwork is a content hole and it really makes me want to spend more time looking at the art for all cards.

Margaery Tyrell is a great beard of Westeros and should help reach across the gender divide.

Also, for beard tips, etc, hearing from some partners of those with beards could be worthwhile as well. Giving tips to fellow partners and to the beard growers.

One little correction: Hoster Tully was in Lords of Winter, Wolves of the North ist the 2.0 expansion.

Okay, I went ahead and looked at the video to see if i had any suggestions for the vidcast format. And I do!

I would like larger windows for the cast, the better to see your beards, and less background image. I liked the show outline listed though, that was great. Also, I was hoping the card images would be larger to facilitate critical analysis of the artwork, so maybe when you bring up a card it can fill the middle of the screen and you can push the caster windows to the sides? Something like that.
