Summer Is Coming Episode 7: Worlds Prep

The newest Summer is Coming podcast is up. This week begins our 3 part weekly Worlds prep series. In this episode we identify 7 decks that will be prevalent at worlds. We provide information regarding what makes these decks good and how to beat them. Are we missing some decks you think will dominate at worlds?

Very good analysis of the big decks to be prepared for. A couple of things that came up while I was listening:

-The Hand's Judgment CAN be cancelled by He Calls It Thinking. It is a very good neutral cancel over Paper Shield especially against the KotHH builds.

-No Quarter is a limit 1 per challenge event, just like Die By the Sword.

-I'm a little surprised that you didn't mention any Greyjoy decks as things to look out for, especially since you really harp on the importance of location control (which GJ rules at), and that the house made it to the finals of Gencon.

-Also a little surprised that no mention of Winter/Summer usual suspects was made, as those archetypes still seem to be doing well, and again Stark Winter won Gencon.

Other than that, I really enjoyed the episode. What topic are you thinking about for next week?
Good comments. I realized during the podcast Darknoj's misspeak but he was on a roll so we didnt correct it. But that is a good point.

GJ Winter will be in the podcast we are recording today. I'm not sure about Stark Winter as I think of it as a derivative of Stark Murder which is very strong.

Summer decks seem a bit down right now. Targ summer is way down since there are two better choices. Martell summer also seems like the third best version of Martell. There is just too much winter in the environment right now.
Having to manage an MP3 of this podcast is a major pain in the keister for someone who gets all their podcasts via iTunes.
In the coming weeks we will be getting more professional and setting up an RSS feed and ITunes. We were waiting to find a logo we were happy with. What do you guys think of this logo?
I think if it gets you on iTunes it's the most beautiful logo I've ever seen.

But seriously, it's not bad.
Logo looks solid to me.
