THOUGHTS FROM A NOOB 2-Speculation about alt faction characters

We have 3 characters whose card versions are from different factions:
-Jon Snow(Stark/NW)
-Ser Barristan Selmy(Bara/Targ)
-Renly Baratheon(Bara/Tyrell)

I thought, which other characters we have could get into other factions?

Stark Theon Greyjoy

He could have an ability which is some kind of fusion between Greyjoy and Stark, like he sacrificing somebody to do something awesome when he wins unopposed.

Tyrell Samwell Tarly

Maybe a weird ability that synergizes with his dad?

Baratheon Ser Jorah Mormont

He should enter play under an opponent's control and do something really nasty to the controller.

Night's Watch Janos Slynt

No idea.

Targaryen Maester Aemon

Just kidding.

And, which characters do you think we should see in another faction than they currently are?

Great ideas, but I would like it better if Tyrell Samwell Tarly had antisynergy with Randall as that would be more thematic.

We can look at 1e to see examples of cross-faction characters too (e.g. Theon).

From a "the cycles follow the books" standpoint, we probably will never see a Stark Theon unless its in a box set.  He stopped being a ward of the Starks by the end of book two I think.  Sad as I would think that would be good in the game.  Same with a Bara Jorah as he's loyal to Danni by about where the cycle is in the books.  I love your idea though.  NW Janos should be a thing eventually, I hope.  No idea what he would do either once he gets sent to the wall.  In books he pretty much undermines the watch from the inside.  I don't think they will make a card that is only negative for its own faction so thematically...no idea what he would do.

The big one I had wanted was Renly and that finally happened.  I'm sure we'll eventually have both Tyrell and Stark versions of Brienne.  We may also see a "Queen Marge" show up in either bara or lanni...depending on whether they consider Tommen part of his blood house or the name he uses when his king version arrives in several more cycles years from now.  Eventually I'm sure there will be a Roose Bolton in Lannister as well since he definitely trades sides.  That's just off the top of my head.

I dont think we will have a Tyrell Sam. The cycles cant follow the books forever, so we will get Stark Theon one way or another. Lannister aligned Arya in whichever alias she used when serving Tywin. Possible Targ Tyrion. Stark Brienne.

Of the ones that are already out, you could also add a Arya Stark/Arry NW.  Tyrion may eventually get a Targ version.  Brienne should also have a Stark version sometime.

Brienne might also get a Lanni version maybe? She goes on a quest with Jaime, doesn´t she?

The Hound is helping Arya for some time, maybe this is enough to justify a Stark version of him?

Also, Myrcella Baratheon in Martell (in 1st ed they named her "Myrcella Lannister" for whatever reason).

Arya never served Tywin in the books. That was Roose Bolton.

In 1st edition Maester Aemon did have a Targ version.

Ser Jorah Mormont was Targ and Stark. As a Stark, you could have him as 3 cost 5 strength tricon with renown, but in dom you pay 2 gold otherwise he is discarded.

Joffrey Baratheon had a Baratheon version. Maybe cost 3, kneel him to kneel a unique costing 4 or less?

Littlefinger had versions for Stark and Lanni as well as neutral. I could see a Stark one that is 3 cost int pow 4 str stealth, but can only attack if you control Catelyn or Sansa. Fits in the Stark nedly theme.

Myrcella and Ser Arys Oakheart both had Lannister and Martell versions.

Of the ones that are already out, you could also add a Arya Stark/Arry NW.  Tyrion may eventually get a Targ version.  Brienne should also have a Stark version sometime.

Mind you, Tyrion hasn't even met Daenerys in the books yet. I don't know if being in slavers-bay alone really makes him Targaryen-affiliated.

Agreed. That would be like saying there should be a Night's Watch Tyrion Lannister because he pissed off edge of the Wall.

Some of the Kingsguard will probably have neutral and Lannister (Arys is already spoiled for Martell) affiliation.

...

I always liked to idea of anti synergetic characters. Characters that are great value on their own but makes the rest of the faction weaker. Eg, Janos could be something like: "2g, 5S, MIL, INT. Reduce the strength of each other character you control by 1."

A Tyrell Sam that is discarded (marched to the wall) if you control Randyl would be fun, not a huge disadvantage.

Action: Discard Samwell Tarly, Randyll Tarly gains 1 power.
