I have to admit that I'm surprised that you all aren't more excited about the changes to the restricted list. By listing the powerful and staple cards, now creative decks that just weren't as efficient now have a chance and there will be real skill in choosing the best restricted and in properly projecting the meta.

Springfield guys have been proponents of rotation and other things, so why are you upset or surprised with soft bans of old cards? This is a needed meta shakeup and I and the rest of the Tulsa crew couldn't be more excited.

That said, there were a few surprising choices but nothing major was missed IMO.

Well, Greg was in favor of that stuff. I'm not certain that I was.

Except for the rotating pool idea. Now that one, I did like.

I always did like Greg the best when it suited me to do so.

Today we had a tourney (10 people) where the new cycle was not available (south america xP). Greyjoy dominated with the HoD Longship Victory version (nobles and choke where the top2).....and we had 4 out of 10 using lannister!!!.

My feeling was that the rest lacked low costed chars to counter winter and the boatswains where too strong. They should be in that list too.....just my 2 cents.

Well, 8 out of the 18 0-cost characters are now restricted and some of the remainder are not characters who can compete in challenges. I think its almost like the wanted to eliminate this cost bracket for characters.

Yeah, I was also surprised you guys were fairly down on the restricted list. I applaud their reasons for doing it (and acknowledging the increasingly large card pool), and I hope it will succeed in making this regional season a little less predictable. I'm quite alright (for now) with using the restricted list to shake up the meta and give the players a regional season that changes from year to year!

I hope it's a living list though....changing every trimester or season.

Agreed on the hope that it's a living, revolving list. I think it would be great if it was updated every 6 months with cards going on and coming off each time. If the list just continues to grow only, then I'm a bit concerned.
