Thought it's be fun to keep a track of your ratings (I guess so we can go back and embarrass you with them later?):

Best Overall Card: Desperate Measures
Worst Overall Card: White Harbor
Most Polarising Card: Plankytown Orphan
Least Polarising Card: TIE (Blood Magic Ritual, Manderly's Scheme)

Sidenote: I like how Darryl clearly regretted giving Iron Fleet Scout an A by the end of the podcast but wouldn't give in on it :P.

I agree with Darryl on White Harbour - it's an F, and with him on Desperate Measures, which definitely seems like an A to me. I think naval escort is overrated by all of you, but I never lived through the char-lite era, so I suppose we'll see!

I do think you guys are underestimating the threat of naval enhancements (even independent of Black sails - which Greg/Will elaborated on the flexibility of it last week) of cards like Dagger Lake Galley. I declare a military challenge with a lone carrion bird, but suddenly any other character I have with a military icon *could* join in thanks to the Warship. On defense, I can jump in pre-stealth.

Essentially, I think the Warship will see some play even outside of black sails (especially out of GJ, that can potentially use it to reduce Raiders etc), just for the important threat to challenge math.

I honestly think there are no F's in this pack. Some cards are not good but are at least moderately better in specific decks.

Further, I think Guided by Quaithe is fantastic for reasons I can't completely articulate. Its got that same pure jank feeling that Dragon Egg has. At minimum it can allow you to circumvent OOH penalties on cards.
The main use I have for guided is for melee which allows me to hide something important in shadows until I'm ready to try to go for the win.
I would just like to say that i believe a lot of people are under rating Judged By The Father. I played it this weekend at the Missouri regional and it did great. It is a great anti burn card. Its great to abuse any come into play abilities. Besides, its just a great back up card for anytime your worried about losing one of your characters. I played Will during the tournament and i think i played a single copy of a Herald a total of 3 times because of this card. I also know that one of the Bara Wildling decks that made the top 8 was playing it and it helped him out greatly in case he lost Val/Mance/Laughing storm while he didn't have a retreat in hand. In my opinion, there is no way the card is C. Its a B all day and long. I could even see it being a B+.
Iron Islands Brigand is excellent. Just saying.

Iron Islands Brigand is excellent. Just saying.

After playing a few games with him I will have to agree.
So I'm a bit behind on coming here to respond, what with the Regional over the weekend and then the holiday and all, but I've got to prop JCWamma for tallying up our ratings like that. It'll be much easier for everyone to come give us crap for rating Plankytown Orphan so poorly when he starts running away with the game a in a month. ;)
