Thanks for those stats on chance of making the cut/winning, really insightful information.
Drat, forgot to post the Excel sheet. Will do that over my lunch hour.
Something I don't get - Greg mentioned repeated use of Seat of Power with Dale to be able to play a lot of cards. But Seat of Power is limited - doesn't that mean he can only use it once in a turn?
If you have seat of Power on setup, you can use it, then get it back with Dale, then marshall it and use it again

He becomes a cheap/free body with Narrow Sea/Seat of Power that lets you grab whatever you want when he dies from your discard.
Interesting book theory and the more I think about it and started to look around it makes even more sense. During the time of Mad King Varys was hellbent on keeping him in the power position, like telling him that Rhaegar would try to take his throne and asking to close the gates from Lannisters during Robert's Rebellion. To me that does not sound much like working for the realm or working for the Targaryens as surely Rhaegar would have been the more fitting king for the realm and for the Targaryens. Definitely plausible

Now if only my friends Jaqen = Rhaegar theory would end up as being correct...
A great episode - I enjoyed the card spoiler, the tourney reports, I enjoyed the brief stats rundown, and enjoyed the book theories.

Darryl is on the forums?! LOL I would have never realized that was him.
What card they spoil? I won't have a chance to listen until much later.

Ohhhh. The one that FFG spoiled(mostly) in their article a few months back? He's incredibly interesting.
Is it just me, or do the Google doc links not work?
@Hoyalawya- Weird. I have them set so that anyone with the link can view them without signing in. I signed out of Google to double check it, and things seem to work ok. Is anyone else having problems?

@Ire- Yeah, I think that would start to make quite a bit of sense about what Varys' real gameplan is. Maelys the Monstrous was killed by Selmy during the War of the Ninepenny Kings, but how much do we know about that situation? How can we be certain that he had no sons?
works now. perhaps it was b/c i was on mobile
I still can't actually see anything when i click your links Will. I've tried one of are other laptops too. >.>
First time listener here, awesome podcast!!

Novel discussion was quite interesting!! Makes me wary of those who haven't shown their hair or are too old to show it!

Seat of Power is limited so u cant use again till round two, as i was told ?

You can use a limited location as many times as you like, you can only put one into play a turn though. So, if you put one into play during setup, your still free to play one during your first turn of the game as well because you haven't put one into play yet. There isn't anything about using the effect of a limited location more then once in a turn, just about playing one.

Playing one in set up is not considered playing one during the first turn.
Yup, and even if you can't use it until the next turn, that repeated 3 cost reduction is still pretty high impact.

Also, kaiza, glad to hear we're still capturing and entertaining new fans!
