Too bad, I really thought you are going to call this episode "Beyond the Rules". Would have shown some self-irony.
Btw, yesterday I had a Melee experience, where by chance two Targaryen Dragon-Decks were playing at the same table. In sheer desperation I allied with the only one other non-Targaryen. But this only forced the two Targs to play together, which in the end led to a first and second place for them.
So these dragons are really, really ugly in Melee.
Looking forward to listen to the cast this evening anyways!

To increase your listener base: I recently found out that most of the Netrunner LCG discussion takes place on the boardgamegeek forum. Unfortunately the Thrones forum on that site is comprised mostly of people who have just picked up the Core set and have questions about the game. I've started directing them to my New Player Thread, which includes a link to your podcast.
I'm glad you had the Targ HttIT player on to discuss his deck.
We did actually initially discuss the table in question a bit (not the name change, that's too clever for a sleep-deprived istaril), but most of it except a reference to the thread got cut in favour of discussing it in a later episode about melee specifically - this episode is already running a tad long.
I'm not sure anybody actually cares, but there has been a slight misunderstanding regarding the Alex T./Steel Link situation at the Brawl in Munich. Our valiant hosts seem to think that what happened was that our good friend Alex T. sits down at the table for the first round, pulls the chains out of his deck, realizes that the Steel Link is missing, says something like "Oh, I seem to have misplaced my Steel Link. No matter, good chap, we haven't begun the game yet anyway. Here, let me just reach into my bag and get it ou....", only to be interrupted by the puffy, red-faced TO (this poster here) bursting in and yelling at poor Alex, Marine drill sergeant style: "RAWR!!! If your hand touches that card I'll rip out your heart by way of your ass and feed it to the first Dothraki bride I chance upon! You don't get to change your deck once you turn your decklist in, sucker! You play without the Steel Link, or I swear to God, that matter that barely passes for your brains will splatter the walls of this here Inn at the Crossroads!!!"
Well, much as I'd love to get a rep for being a really hard-ass TO who don't take no crap from no one, that's not quite what happened. He played almost the entire first round without realizing that he lacked the Steel Link. He only noticed right at the end of the game, and he asked me if he could add it after the first round was already through. I didn't see how I could oblige him, really.
This may rank as the best comment we've gotten in 28 episodes. Thanks!
