Beyond the Wall Istaril Darknoj Sam B. Vaapad Worlds 2014 Joust AGOT Podcast
We start with some FFG & Stahleck news, and then jump right into part 3 of our Worlds 2014 coverage: The Joust. We start off with an interview with 2014 World Joust Champion Sam B., and follow it up with our long-promised discussion of the Targ Black Sails Istaril played to win the swiss (and secure overall). For the latter, we're joined by Vaapad, who played the same deck and knows way more about Targ than we ever will. Finally, we close off with information about two OCTGN events, and the Red Saturday tourney, which is shaping up to be superb!

The Lanni DWDW I beat was played by Ben W, not Thomas W.

Wooden Horse (Targ / Black Sails)
I love the lengthy episode.
Also the explanation for the deck. We commented with a friend and found it really risky to play but it seems you had a strong plan going with such a small deck.
Great episode. Lots of valuable insight.
How often did Bay of Ice backfire? I'm shocked that you guys were comfortable running it without Kingsroad Fiefdom. Although Greyjoy is probably your biggest competition for winning initiative and the Squids aren't strong right now with so much Bara in the meta.
cool cardboard list !
Why would anyone Harrenhal Deckhands and not the Long Lances ability if you were to play it..?
Well presumably because by cancelling the Deckhands you can prevent the Long Lances from participating in a challenge, leave them stuck in hand to get intrigued out, and avoid them triggering. I can see situations in which it's the right play - but when you know you're triggering it to bluff, it's very satisfying to have it cancelled.
The Targ BS deck is so original. Absolutely love it.
Where could I find the Lanni DWDW list? Is it an aggro one?
