This is George, giving you the feeling of the 2nd AGoT European Team Championship that took place at Castle Stahleck.

Let us begin with a photo that pretty much describes everything...

"Team England 2015"
They wanted it badly. They wanted to take it home for a 2nd year in a row. But unfortunately fate had other plans.
Let us talk a bit about the T-shirts.
After the success of last year's team event, a lot of the participating countries had their personal T-Shirts, and we believe that this added a certain character and flavor to the event!
Hell, Team England had 1 Star to their T-Shirts indicating their 2014 win!
Fourteen Nations were there on Sunday morning, ready to face each other and take the 2015 ETC Cup home!

The competition was fierce like last year, but everyone had fun and we hold dear the words of every team that got eliminated, saying to us that this was the best event ever.

The final game was epic indeed. The Spanish team climbed with teeth and nails all the way from the very first round of the losers bracket, to the finals Vs team Germany.

But it was the Germans' time to shine. 2-1 and we had our 2015 European Team Champions. We can't wait to see German T-shirts next year with a Star on them like Team England did.

All and all it was the best of times. I will never get tired of saying: " It is the best feeling to play not only for yourself, but for your whole Country"

Let us not forget Wolfgang for the extra prize support and for believing in the idea of a Team Event !
As I personally said to everyone there... Spread the word and let's make this happen again!

I love the idea of this event and enjoy living vicariously through it. Can someone remind me how the players themselves are chosen for the team?
The 4 best players from each country from the Joust are chosen to represent.
Or, alternatively, the 3 who are awake.
Thanks . . . so seeing as you can't know exactly ahead-of-time which players will be included, how do you plan (as a team)? Does the player have to use his/her deck from the joust, or can it be another deck? If so, are decks handed off for that tourney for strategic reasons?
Yhe decks can be different than the the ones the players used in Joust.
