Small Council Forgotten Plans Staton
Hello Readers, and welcome back to Forgotten Plans! It's been quite a while since we've had a Forgotten Plans article up, so I'm going to be doing a Top 5 this week, rather than looking at just one card. As I was starting to get back into the game, I noticed that attachments still aren't all that popular, and that negative attachments were even less so. This seemed a bit odd to me since there seemed to be some pretty powerful characters and locations running around out there. Couple this with the fact that I honestly haven't seen hardly any attachment control running around, and attachments are looking pretty good right now. So let's take a look at the Top 5 attachments you should be considering![CRB='/forums/uploads/1281901134/ffg_gallery_11_21703.jpg']1. Milk of the Popppy - This is the classic, "I think your guy has a huge text box and I just can't be bothered to read it" card. It's only 1 gold, and it's neutral, which means that almost anyone can find room in their deck for this card. What I like about this card is that it doesn't have any conditional effects, like Motley (Core). The character is blank, and you are going to have to get rid of it if you want to do anything other than attack or defend with your character. The downside is that Milk is a Condition attachment, so it gets hit by the highest number of cards, like Maester Cressen (Core) and Maester of Lemonwood (BtW). Luckily, those cards don't seem to be that popular at the moment.[/CRB]
[CRB='/forums/uploads/1281656500/ffg_gallery_6_16988.jpg']2. Bowl of Brown - This card is essentially the opposite of Fishing Net (ASoS) in that instead of not letting it attack or defend, it only let's the character attack or defend. Throw this on something like Maester Wendamyr (KotS) and he becomes a 1 str weenie with an intrigue icon. The best part is that they can't even kneel the character to pay for cards like Confession (KotS). They literally can only sit there and attack or defend. At 0 gold it is pretty easy to throw this into a deck if you think you are going up against a deck full of utility characters.[/CRB]
[CRB='/forums/uploads/got/ffg_poisoned-coin-thobaw.jpg']3. Poisoned Coin - This card is pretty much a win/win more card. You attach it to a character and the owner has 2 options. He either kills the character for claim or through a reset like Valar Morghulis (Core) or Wildfire Assault (Core). His other option is to actually use the character, after which it will stand and be killed anyway, but this time will net you a card as well. This just so happens to be a Weapon attachment as well, so you get to put it on more characters than often. At 1 gold you could fit it into your deck without disrupting the gold curve too much.[/CRB]
[CRB='/forums/uploads/1281117521/ffg_gallery_5_335696.jpg']4. Climbing Spikes - Wildlings don't really seem to be that popular right now, but if you are running Wildlings, this attachment is an auto include for me. Not only is it cheap, but it has built in Immunity as well. In order to get their location back, you opponent not only has to wipe your board of Wildlings, but also have attachment control at that instance. This is about as close to a Frozen Solid (LoW) that Non-Stark players are going to get.[/CRB]
[CRB='/forums/uploads/1281901163/ffg_gallery_11_62788.jpg']5. Motley - This card used to be much higher on the list than it is now. The problem is that people have just become much better at managing their resources. It really doesn't hurt to have to keep around an extra one or two gold every turn. At 0 cost though, this card is still probably worth a slot or two. Something to note is that using a dupe to save a character is actually a gain character ability. So a character with Motley would need to spend gold to trigger the dupe. Its always fun to throw this on someone and then Valar when they have no gold.[/CRB]
So there are the 5 attachments that I feel are undervalued or under played right now. Let me know what you guys think, and if it missed anything major. As a member of the Small council, I reserve the right to be wrong about anything and everything at any time. Tune in next time for Forgotten Plans!

Bastard is also really good. Aside from taking away a power icon, which is nice, it is a silver bullet to maesters.
Of course, we can debate the semantics between "forgotten," "underused," "undervalued," "underplayed," and what not, but I think the above five are pretty decent choices.
I wonder if anyone is running a Targ attachment deck using the new attachment discount location and the new Bannerman card.
Oh wait, it looks like I"m the man for the job!
Big fan of some of the Asshai attachments too - Black Amethysts as zero cost and playable in setup, and the
Ruby of R'hllor (KotStorm) because of its vigilant drawing ability, especially with the number of discard decks currently around.
What deck were you playing? I know I had Stannis milked in two of my games.
<-Sean. You know me dude. And yeah, I had 2 in my Black Sails deck.
The mark of a true friendship! Getting pissed over Thrones! Which reminds me, Maester Luke and I are bff's.
On the other hand, I've often thought Climbing Spikes was way underrated, especially if you splash wildlings like Val, Ygritte, and Orell the Eagle (not uncommon in Bara, which coincidentally has only a little location control)
