The Citadel: Game of Thrones Video Series Lannister Dragon vs Martel Rose

A Game of Thrones video series hosted by the Northampton Meta's village idiot.
Come and join me to see the final game in the cut for our store tournament video series! This week we have Dan Gallagher Martel Rose, after his controversial win last week vs David 'Daisy' Guest's Lannister Dragon, the player who has been at the top of swiss throughout the tournament and who we have followed to this final.

Who will close it out in this rematch?!?!?

Is it really good idea to post video, where one player accidently drew 7 cards? Commentary is fine, but game affected by this accident has zero predictive value.

Hello Raius

If it was simply a casual game and I notice this sort of issue I would normally discard the video. However, as it was part of a tournament series I decided to keep it, there are alot of reason for this.

While, yes, it drastically affects the match up and invalidates the video as a source of meta analysis about match ups, it still provides play by play analysis opportunities despite this. So, while it alters the game, the outcome and overall tempo of the game, it can still be used, despite this misplay, to analyse the quality of plays made moment to moment.

To add to this, it is a top four match in the cut, so is useful to follow the story of the event and who ends up in the final. Adding to this fact it highlights that even in the top four serious mistakes can be made, in fact they are even more common in cut games than in swiss I have found (potentially because by this point players are tired?).

Either way, thank you for the feedback, I am sorry that the video didn't cater to what you were looking for. I would highlight that there are misplays in this video as well, two in fact, one which I caught (as TO) and the other which the players tried to solve, but did it incorrectly.

I hope moving forwards you will still give the video a watch.

Daniel
