The White Book S7E15- 239

Pocast Kennon Pulseglazer Dobbler

Will, Aaron, Greg, and guests Dan and Sam talk tournament preparation and matching plots with the right deck.

Wow, the sound is loads of fun again. Darth Vader kept invading, and really, there's nothing you can do to stop a Sith Lord.

Did you ever figure out if the Darth Vader was me or not?

Dude, so you.

Darkest timeline reference = spit take with hot coffee

That was funny !

Great cast ! Loved the discussion about how people play test and how different groups play against each other.

I'm halfway through and this is a great episode. The Wausau guys are naturals in this format (as they've proven in the past). I will say this, though. It's disheartening to hear (repeatedly, unfortunately) that prep for the world's best players is running the gauntlet against, well, the world's best players. That's a tough thing to accomplish for the vast majority of us, even if the time and dedication could be found.

Also, as an aside, I live in Milwaukee. So if that sh*t goes down again, please drop me a PM. I will bring beer to go with the stew and I also am CPR-certified in case Corey is the one choking next time. ;)

Ballast Point makes great beer! My favorite has to be their habenero sculpin.
A couple of thoughts on plots. First of all, Sneak Attack - it was only spoken of in terms of its offensive capabilities, but I'm pretty sure its best use is defensive, because the downside of only being able to declare one challenge hurts far less there. Meanwhile you have 5 gold safe from naval, the highest initiative to guarantee going second, and two claim for the one challenge you can force through. Secondly, Filthy Accusations. I agree with the principle of why it shouldn't be as strong in Bara, but I don't think that's true in practice just because of Stannis Baratheon. Being able to limit the opponent to only two standing characters means that the kneel does a lot more than it otherwise would. Without Stannis though, I agree it's best in Greyjoy.
