Doran bad design?? It's awesome elegant design bringing in the used plots to make Martell powerful later in the game! Doran might not be very good atm but its great design.
Lol poor context... I had PTTS & nightmares in hand, Tywin on board, as well as ambush characters in hand. Sitting on 6 gold isn't sitting on garbage and I didnt have another character to marshall that would save the gold for PTTS. I could play the Bronn game if forced and still have enough left over to PTTS. Oh and that PTTS needed Bronns STR and it hit Dany... Bronn balled.
Now that I think about it did I also have an Illyrio out? I think so. Woof. "thats like paying 7 gold for Bronn" my ass.
It's fine, you know you're wrong about your revised Arbor opinion now.
(PS Boneway still sucks)
EDIT: Wait, wait wait wait wait wait, Aaron's putting forward Seastone Chair as a card he was RIGHT about?? I remember him whining to me about how FFG had printed this completely busted OP card for Greyjoy in the very first pack. I just went and checked my facebook messenger chat archives and I have him on record as saying the Seastone Chair "wrecks Lanni".
Ah, that ever moving target.... It's so hard to truly call locations, as I've found.
Fine, good design, poor execution!
Sure, there's contexts where he's good. There's also contexts where you don't have all of that and just need claim soak.
That's my reaction to the spoiler, by the review, I was far more temperate.
two words
DANGER ZONE !!
Yeah, Aaron was wrong on Bronn before and still is wrong. He is a 4/5 card and an auto x1 (or 2) in any Lanni main deck for me. Chance of a Tywin plus character plus Roseroad setup alone makes him worth it.
I haven't played Bronn and regretted it once. And I have only had 1 game where Bronn has been in my hand and not played.
