ah dang was hoping you guys would have some great insight after listening i still have no clue what to expect at days of ice and fire haha
Without His Beard is a pretty awful card... but Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken has the potential to harm you so much. Even when it isn't canceled, you're losing a card for random, revealed cards; you can still end up with worse cards than you started, and no matter what your opponent gets to see them.
2 minutes in and Darryl is already hammered, he may not finish this episode.

He made it through the episode! Off course if you are going to use that as the Easter Egg you made Darryl's attempt to keep the show safe for work futile.
Btw, ratings for Negotiation: Kennon - C, Brett - C, Daryl - B, despite preferring it if the text box was blank.
Nice, JCWamma! I knew they weren't all that enthusiastic about the card. :)
Dang, I would have sworn I liked it more than that. Oh well, my mistake and apologies to The Silver Fox :P
Well dang. I guess that's the trap of not going back to double check my rating before recording the new episode. But alas.... Still, I think I stand by the comments that I made in this show that it is going to be super good in some decks (rush, and some combo-ish decks that need to dig for something specific) but that overall, it's not an auto include.
I think Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken is much worse than Without His Beard, if for no other reason than the disappointment factor. Those are Martell's house words, for goodness sake, and they get slapped on THAT card? A travesty, and the reason why it beats out WHB.
To be fair I liked the fact that it was a 2 claim plot that has the city and intrigue gambit traits. It would be great to get your city plots going with I really liked that. what I didn't like was the ability.

Mr. Lentz, which of the following two phrases best describes Darryl Lloyd: Problem drinker, or African-American Haberdasher?

Ah, Shenanigans, that was brilliant!

Oh, and I'd vote for Problem Drinker.
So I see you were confused about my feedback (I'm Buz, from the Tulsa meta, for those who don't know)

I said "Hollow HIll was in the binder" and then said "Hollow HIll is the best deck in the format." What?

Well, the first part of my email was about the perception of the Tulsa meta at large. You can look at, for example, the Martell Knights of the Hollow Hill thread in the forums here to see the perceived power level shift there. Also, while Targ Hollow Hill is still just as good on its own (well, almost) post FAQ, its bad matchups got better via FAQ rulings and it's a riskier proposition to run that type of deck now. When half of the decks you'll face can win on turn 2 or 3, trying to slow the game down to plot 8 or 9 isn't as sure of a bet.

Also, did you actually look at that Targaryen Maester list that won in Spain's Battle for the Wall? Yeah, it was Maesters, but it was amazing.

It doesn't have any terminal burn either. Maester Bob has more burn potential in it.
Yup, got to play against it this weekend. It is a pretty sexy beast.

I feel sorry for my friend who was building a deck like that ever since the new FAQ and now he will be said to be a netdecker everytime he plays it :D
