alright with the talk of gen con I have been interested in going but I have never gone and I am curious what is an estimate on cost of gen con trip?
The memory issue is kind of simple actually. If it is an event then it will have memory on the effect limitation, if it is not an event it will lose all memory when it goes out of play area. So it might be designed to be abusive with the shadows since shadows are missing an easy engine so to speak.
In order to stop anybody from getting the wrong impression, I'd quickly like to point out that "Cannot be ..." (killed/discarded) are not, in fact, keywords. They are mere run-of-the-mill cardtext.

They are not defined as keywords in any rules document (every other one is either defined in Core Rules or later supplements), and a related thread on the FFG forums is here.
youve definitely done the pomegranate/turnip line before guys... ;D
Will loves Dolorous Ed Quotes.

I do indeed. Of course, it was Greg that had me go with that one. :P

@WWDrakey, really? I could have sworn that those had been keywords when they were introduced to the game. Mayhaps they were at the time, and have since been left out of rules docs? I think I might email Nate about that one. Immunities are still keywords though, right? Giving Jaqen "Immune to opponents' card effects" ala Cat o' the Canals would still be pretty awesome.
@Ire, interesting. Of course, I can't imagine they put the reminder text there on Preston for no reason since it wouldn't serve any purpose. I'm expecting an update to that in the FAQ once the card hits.

Yep, No attachments and Immunity are specifically mentioned in the 'keyword' list in the Core Rules, Cannot be X isn't. One hint at Cannot be X not being a keyword is also the way in which it is used on cards as a self-referential ability like with Beric Dondarrion (IG), while say Stannis Baratheon (VM) is a classic example of how it is usually templated with keywords (note the 'gains' part).

Well, it does matter as worded. You can only use him repeatedly to bounce himself, but if you bounce someone else, he can't be triggered again that round.

EDIT: For example, I could see it being placed there to stop some kind of mass-retreat tactic before an offensive Westeros Bleeds (Core). As worded, he's like some kind of a hybrid between Syrio Forel (TftRK) and Tywin Lannister (TTotH)... but if he ever uses the Tywin part, then his Syrio-like ability goes away for the rest of the round. ;)
Actually, built-in limits like that would not be limited only to events.
The built-in limit applies to where the effect is actually triggered. If triggered from out of play, the built-in limit applies universally to that card whether or not it is in or out of play. If it is triggered from in-play, the built-in limit of an effect applies to that card only while it remains in play. An example that could be possible would be characters that jump out of your hand and into play. Not sure if any exist, but if the ability said "Put this character into play from your hand.(Limit once per phase)", then the built-in limit would be applicable regardless of the character leaving play or not.

So is Cat o' the Canals (RoW) Immune ability then up for grabs for the new JH?
Yup.
I had a seven card flop with a Martell TLV deck this weekend at a regional.... and subsequently drew into 6 or 7 locations, then 2 more during the draw phase. Needless to say, that game didn't end well and knocked me out of the top 4 cut.
