2C1C- Episode 192

This was a fun episode. I only have one criticism, you'll be pleased to hear! It is "if at all possible, it'd be nice if you could limit the talk about how the game's treading water until second edition - whether or not it's true, it makes for a bit of a dour podcast". This was more true of last week than this week, to be fair. But I think it's safe to assume that if people are listening to the cast it's because they still care at least a bit about first edition, so the "can we fast forward the store championship season" talk is kind of a downer. It's obviously your right to talk about it and I'm hooked enough that I'll listen anyway (what else am I meant to listen to when I drive, Radio One? ), but yeah, it's not the most fun subject.

Now, anticipation for 2nd edition, that I'm all for! It's just the last couple of episodes feel like it's come with the tag of "...and that's why first edition is bad", which is a shame for someone who still enjoys it.

Ideas for future casts:

- You guys badly need to do another misplays episode! Daarryl's Dirty Dozen was one of the first episodes I listened to and I loved it. Perhaps it could be fun to do a two-parter, the first week documenting your own, then encouraging people to send you their own experiences (I guess by email so it doesn't get publicised in advance) for the second week.

- Favourite decks that aren't tier one, and why.

- Retrospectives of first edition - favourite times playing, favourite experiences, most memorable moments, etc.

- Generally deck-building episodes are fun in my experience. And it might help Kyle find something other than the Stark Wings to play .

(I really hope you actually asked for ideas in the 'cast, I feel like you did but if you didn't I probably come across like a crazed patronising moron here...)

I will add that I am reinvigorated to play 1ed right now. Yes, Harrenhal is a terrible card, but otherwise its a very healthy environment. I think Worlds was largely underwhelming in terms of creative deck types, but I am thoroughly enjoying my weekly games in Chicago right now.

I just cant get excited for thrones atm, im so pumped for the reboot, but just cant muster up any enthusiasm for first edition.
