Beyond the Wall (Off-Week)

Our first regularly scheduled off-week, as we move to an every-other-week schedule (I'm avoiding the word bi-weekly, it intimidates me). This article is NOT a cast, but just a quick update on a few cast-related things and news we would otherwise have gone over. I probably won't do these regularly, but as we transition into the new release schedule I'll likely do a few.- If you missed why we're going to an every-other week schedule, check out the first comment to last week's episode where we explain it.
- Following that cast, we've had about a dozen people reach out to us, serious about helping us and putting in the (considerable) time to make this work. We're incredibly appreciative, and will be getting back to you all with more details shortly. Darknoj and I haven't had the time to chat, and he was away at New York's "Dance of Dragons" event, where he topped the swiss with Baratheon Lion, and fell to Dan S. (twn2dn)'s Greyjoy Dragon in the semifinals.
- In Thrones-related news, it's been a fantastic weekend for The Annals. Every tournament I knew about has reported their results (3 reported, but haven't input them yet - I expect Roseville, Colorado and Kingdomcon in the next day or so). This kind of weekend validates the utility of the Annals, proving it samples a large part of the competitive game.
- We did get 3 official Nate rulings this week; one on Benjen being killed by Quentyn & Wildfire, one on the Eyrie and mil claim, and one on saving from terminal (burn) effects.
- If you haven't had a chance to, I highly recommend you check out this article by Tomer P (our "Nedly" reviewer for No Middle Ground). It's a very interesting approach on describing the game - especially the structure of the deckbuilding game.
- In Cardgamedb news I doubt you've missed, one of my all-time favourite 1st edition plots (Forgotten Plans) is back. I also made a guest appearance on GBOW only to have the fan submission completely steal the show.
- Remember to get your store to apply for SC kits by May 17th!
- Upcoming tournaments include The Dockside Brothel Days (May 7-8), Tolouse Regional (May 7-8), Bristol Regional (May 7), Marietta GA (May 7th), Coquitlam BC (May 7th), Linkoeping (May 6th). I hope for another repeat of last week, where all 6 regionals get to the Annals!

Since Alex cuts all good things from the article here is a few facts about the Mountain.
The Mountain doesn't tell lies. He changes facts.
Q: What would you get if you crossed a dinosaur with the Mountain?
A: Nothing. Nobody crosses the Mountain.
The saddest moment for a child in northern westores is not when he learns Santa Claus isn't real. It's when he learns the Mountain is.
Thank noj. Nice to see one of you is still committed even on off weeks.
