The deck list link does not work unless you are logged into some other unrelated site. I was interested in seeing it, but not so interested that I want to sign up for an account on a page I will otherwise never visit.

Thanks for letting me know! I've been posting them on agotcards (and have for the last few episodes mentioning decklists) primarily because I use that deckbuilder, and I know that publishing the decklist here involves some waiting period. I'd long since forgotten you couldn't see them without registering.

I'll get the decklist for you here, dboeren, and I'll add decklists in the comments of previous episodes.

Edit: Episodes 3,5 and 7 now have the decklists in the comments (see below). Thanks again for the feedback, we'll try and make sure we make the decklists available without logins in the future!

Some Fun Tricks:

Pyrophobia rules with Harried By Dragons. They also have the nice benefit of thinning your deck somewhat.

Flame Kissed on Red Viper + Dragonpit is one of the few reliable ways of killing him off.

I'm a bit surprised that you didn't include Shadow Jorah for funsies or Daario straight up for great removal of Kingsguard guys. I'm pretty sure Daario would help in that Stark Knight matchup (and Q no agenda as well!)
I actually played this deck in the Portland SC. It is a decent matchup vs BT. The problem wasn't BT itself. For me, it was playing against it 3/5 matches. You can only stay engaged in a game like that for so long before your brain melts. My favorite aspect of this deck that every single decision seems carry the weight of the entire game. I had a blast building it with Istaril and Darknoj, and had a blast playing it.

Very fine service, thank you!

No shadows Barristan Selmy? I know he is costly, but shutting down that Burning on the Sands or Westeros Bleeds from BT for one turn can be well worth it in a shadows deck.
The deck does seem quite interesting.

This might be just my pet peeve, but when people are encouraged to change their "dedicated" HoD location to a specific counter in case of some match-ups it should be mentioned that you shouldn't be doing this if you are not doing the beginning of the game correctly. Since there is a chance a 50-50 chance for you to not know what your opponent is playing when you have to choose your HoD location.
One of our last casts had a very detailed explanation on the being of the game for those wanting to know the rules around what Ire is saying. I also agree that its always good to keep it in mind. thxs Ire
Yeah, as Jon says, Episode 5 went into detail on some important parts of the pre-game and setup rules, including HoD locations.

That said, in practice your odds are better than 50/50 because of the odds of a rematch in the cut, where you could certainly adjust your HoD location. You might also use information like knowing he's traditionally a martell player, or the nature of his Martell sleeves/playmat, to inform that decision.

It's a grey area to use his house/agenda if he's already revealed before you did anyway, and more than just shady still if you're trying to use information you've 'scouted' (even if accidentally) to inform that decision.

It's certainly *not* ok to wait/stall until your opponent reveals his house card/agenda before choosing your HoD location.
So, running this deck would you actually recommend being very technical in opening up the game and rolling a die or flipping a coin for first player?

A quick clarification question on the technical opening: If I win the dice/coin flip does being first player mean I have to reveal house/agenda first, or is it like winning initiative and I get to decide who reveals first?
Yes, for a clear conscience, start every game by flipping a coin for first player.

The rules specifically say "Randomly determine which player will be the first player. This player now announces which House card and agenda (if any) he or she will use for this game." but don't address how. Typically you treat it like initiative in a tie; the winner choses the first player. As long as your upfront about what's being determined (the FP or the person who gets to choose to go first), you're following the letter and spirit of the rules.
Great! thanks :)
So the new Aegon Targaryen would be fantastic in this deck. But what comes out to make room for him? I'm thinking Oakheart or one of the Shadow Parasites. Thoughts?
The new Aegon might well be an easy 2x in this deck, now that he's out. I'd be hesitant to touch the parasites, given what they do to the setups, but cutting a shadows card (aerys now that lanni has taken a bit of a dive in popularity) is where I'd start.
I hate how the Kingsguard is so good that they're basically an autoinclude in every deck. It makes for some very boring and predictable deck constructions; part of me cringed when ya'll included them as some of the first cards in this Targ deck. As a decidedly Nedly player, it hurts my soul.

(Which is probably why I lose more than win.)

Now, NedStark, let's be fair! They haven't made their way into the Martell No Agenda we built in Episode 3, or into the Old Way I took to my second S.C. They're mostly auto-includes where you're considering shadows (or knights). I'll admit that in this case, that's not very Nedly...
I hate messing with a deck that's very tight right now, but Aegon is starting to make me want to find room for Blood Magic Rituals in the deck.
I would cut 1 Illyrio, Arys, and a KLA to fit in 2 Aegons, and a BMR. If you felt you had to get BMR in there. BMR is tough because it would only really benefit getting Illyrio, Aegon, or Jhogo back, as all the other important characters aren't targ or are in the deck more for their abilities than stats/icons (Griff, KLA, Khal). Illyrio is nice, but his drawback of non-uniques can be disappointing at times. Shadows Jorah would be a solid fit too...

I loved KLA but there were times when it was tough to bring out of shadows, due to the cost. A few times I had both Jaime and KLA in shadows and had to decide whether the burn or draw was more important.
I really like how you build a deck and then report on how it plays. Looking forward to hearing more!
Blood Magic Ritual cannot bring you poor Aegon back (well, not for long), since he's no attachments.

Without Illyrio it'd be nice to have another source of terminal effects. There's a card that few people play with but I really think would rock in this deck: Aegon's Legacy. If you opponent is playing any shadows, it just gets stronger.

Speaking of Terminal effects, one of the Barristans would make sense and he'd be a good target for BMR. I like the discard to -2 version myself, but the Shadows Kingsguard version can make sure Aegon's Hill gets someone important.
