Wow, I hadn't thought of GJ becoming therush faction till you guys started to make the connections. Ughh I really hope they don't make GJ into Bara 1.0. If this were the case, I actually might not play my favorite House anymore. :/
Really excellent episode. The semi-new design of GJ for 2.0 seems very potent. Based on the spoiled cards so far, I would say they are one of the top factions. So. Much. Stealth.
It is that stealth-rush that I think makes GJ 2.0 different than renown-rush Bara 1.0. I believe that GJ is much less a "glass cannon" than Bara and scales better into the late game if the initial rush fails. Stealth is always useful in pushing through challenges. Until (if?) we get Valar in 2.0, rush is going to be much more durable. Particularly GJ's version.
One minor criticism: considering Sean is on the podcast this week I'm disappointed y'all did not discuss Wildfire Assault. I hear that is a good plot.
You're right! I still think Wildfire Assault is an excellent plot in Martell NA to turn Quentyn into an agenda. The ability to establish your vengeful-based card draw engine on turn 2 without fear of shenanigans is fantastic. It's okay that Jon and Alex disagree, because they're allowed to be wrong occasionally.
Very nice podcast, gentlemen, if a little short. I didn't even get through one experiment before it was over. Looking forward to messing around with GJ. I'm thinking about playing them with Bara for Chamber of the Painted Table and The Iron Throne for mucho power gain.
