Small Council Things I Do For Win clu
Hello all! While I'm happy to back writing articles for CardGameDB I will only be posting every other week. I found during the weekly posting I ended up not putting enough time into my ideas. That being said, I was finding that I wasn't presenting full theories with a single article. Going forward each article is actually going to be a package. The Things I Do For Win will be shorter, concentrating on a single theory. Most ideas will talk about abstract playing aspect of the game as a whole. Future writings will be about challenge turn order or challenge denial. Last week I looked at what winter can do for you from a very high level. At it's base it's a income choke idea. However, the theory of winter doesn't win games on its own.
Each TIDFW will now be packaged with an article called The White Cloak Arsenal. WCA is a stand alone grading paper looking at how each house uses an in game mechanic. Last week focused on hand control; a mechanic while on it's own won't win games but will push the win percentages towards that direction. Hand control and winter together meshes into a wrathful combination of cardboard. If you click on the White Cloak Arsenal tag it will now list my past articles grading each of the houses.
Finally, there will be an attached link to a deck that emphasizes TIDFW and the WCA article. The packaged articles will show the highlights of A Game of Thrones from a unique or at least well thought out theory to create winning decks. Hopefully, this gives you an idea what I'm doing going forward and it will be embraced by new and older players alike. Thanks for reading!
